Pushpa N.M – A Scribe Who Helped Hundreds of People With Disabilities to Write Exams.

Pushpa N M, a resident of Bengaluru, is a dedicated scribe who has assisted numerous individuals with disabilities in completing their exams. She explains her motivation and offers guidance for those interested in becoming scribes to support others in pursuing their aspirations.

Pushpa N.M. lives in the bustling city of Bengaluru, whose belief in destiny guides her every step. It was 2007 when she found herself at a crossroads, where a departure from her routine loomed before her. A bus ride of her daily routine unravelled a chain of events that indelibly altered the course of her life.

During the bus ride, Pushpa met someone visually impaired. They started talking and became friends. While they were chatting, the person asked Pushpa for something that had a big impact on her life. Pushpa remembers. The man was a student and he asked me if she could write down his answers for his exam. Pushpa felt sorry for him because he has been going through a lot of difficult times. So, she kindly said yes to his request.

The Big Heart of Pushpa

Since childhood, Pushpa has seen hardships too closely. Her father was a contract worker. Unfortunately, he met with an accident. And they were left with no source of income and a burden to fill their stomach with food and rent to pay. When she grew up, she had glitter in her eyes to help the needy and make their life easier.

Right now, Pushpa has spent 16 years of her life helping people by writing exams for them without charging any money. She has written a total of 1,086 exams, which include different types like civil service exams, school exams, and exams for undergraduate, graduate, and PhD programs.

Pushpa has helped more than 1,000 people with disabilities by writing their exams for them. She can write in different languages like Hindi, English, Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu. In 2019, she received an award called Nari Shakti Puraskar for her outstanding work.

Even when you feel like you have no other choice, it’s important to stay strong. When you find yourself in difficult situations, it’s crucial to keep pushing forward.
