Stories Of India

“People used to call me mentally reatrded, but I am happy with what I am”

Read the story of Ashish Saini who fought all the odds of society and is now a flourishing personality.

This blog is the story of Ashish Saini, the one who unleashed his potential through self-discovery. Ashish Saini is a story of emotions and beliefs, individuals can gain a greater understanding of their true selves and what they want out of life.

Life had been always challenging for Ashish. His 13-year-old self wished to feel normal, indifferent and ordinary. Ashish was born with a very rare congenital disorder called lymphatic malformation. This disorder disfigured the left side of his face. People around him thought that he is suffering from a mental disorder and hence is mentally retarded. They mocked and hated him and made silly assumptions that he is maybe dumb and cannot eat properly.

Ashish was constantly mocked, ignored, and hated until he felt guilt for himself. This eventually made him feel miserable. Life has shown many ups and downs for Ashish. The journey to self-acceptance was not easy for him.

But there is a popular saying that “God created mothers when he himself was not around us”. Ashish’s mother has always been his biggest support throughout his journey. His mother gave him a childhood like the other kids around him. His schooling started when he was 3, though people tried to convince his mother that he is not ready for a normal school. There were many challenges in raising a kid like him, but she always had his back.

Today Ashish is 31 and works as an investment banker. He also aspires to be a model and carry his passion through his blog. Success became a part of his life.

The epilogue of this blog is when we stop judging ourselves and start believing in ourselves, we can accomplish great things and live our lives to the fullest. So, if you want to unleash your potential, start by accepting and loving yourself through self discovery, exactly as you are.
