A success story about Kallol Ghosh’s café run by HIV+ men and women to dispel negative stereotypes: Café positive.

Café Positive celebrates the cause of HIV positive patients

The café HIV+ youths control positive is the best thing about it. It works for a social reason that assists in destroying negative sentiments and contemplations about these heroes. The kind-hearted Kallol Ghosh started this café to end the discrimination against these people that still exists in some segments of society. Let me walk you through the café’s journey and explain what inspired him to carry it out.

Café Positive is a unique café that is concealed in a minuscule carport in Jodhpur Park in Kolkata. The extraordinary thing about the café is that it is controlled by a group of HIV+ young people, the two men, and the ladies. It is the blessing from heaven of 11 HIV+ teens. Kallol Ghosh, the cerebrum behind Bistro Positive, came into their lives as their divine messenger and rescuer by driving the way of giving joy into their lives and working towards destroying pessimistic considerations about these HIV+ individuals.

Founder’s background

Kallol Ghosh, a social labourer, the pioneer behind Bistro Positive, and a heavenly messenger of these teens had a word with the Service of HR Improvement and the UN to advance his thought. In 1986, Kallol Ghosh founded the Organization for Friends, Energies, and Resources, or OFFER, after volunteering with UNICEF and the UN. It is a non-profit organization that helps underprivileged children and adolescents living with HIV/AIDS by providing them with housing, education, and medical care. At the point when these kids turn 18, they are prepared to be proficient workers in the café

The Challenge

As is always the case, the beginning is not an easy one; rather, it is fraught with challenges that, once overcome, bring a person closer to success. To locate a suitable location to set up the cafe, Mr. Kallol Ghosh dashed from one door to the next. The owners slammed the door in his face as soon as he mentioned the HIV+ teenagers who would run it. Even if they said they were okay with it in some places, they still said that their family and neighbours wouldn’t like it and would be unhappy. Not a single one of them collaborated or was keen on this drive.

Success

The story of success After looking for a place for six months and getting rejected, Kallol Ghosh finally found a small area to start the café. When an honorary member of the Rotary Club of Kolkata Indrajyoti Dasgupta learned that these teenagers had been looking for a decent and appropriate location to set up their café for more than six months, he offered his garage. He was initially hesitant to offer his garage space because it was significantly smaller than what they were looking for. He gave them a place after finding out how long they had been looking for it and told them they could start there and grow there over time.

A little bit more about Café Positive

This one-of-a-kind establishment has hosted both Indian captain Virat Kohli and Bengal’s most beloved cricketer and former captain, Sourav Ganguly. Café Positive has celebrated a variety of occasions, including book launches, weddings, birthdays, and anniversaries.

Kallol Ghosh is of the opinion that when people drink coffee and eat food prepared by HIV+ teenagers, it helps him demonstrate to the world that HIV is nothing more than a rehashed set of myths. HIV-positive people are no different from other people; they are just like us. Everyone has accepted it over the past two years, but it has been successful since its inception.
