Actor and model Dinesh Mohan shares his journey from being overweight to becoming a model in his 60s.

The phrase “never give up” is a powerful one and applies to many areas of life. It is never too late to start over, no matter the age. And one of the most appreciable examples in this world is Dinesh Mohan, who proved ” AGE IS JUST A NUMBER.” Behind this killer look is the man who fought all the odds and created his incredible story.

“Nothing is achieved without making efforts,” Dinesh told in an interview. It wasn’t easy to fight obesity, depression, eating chaos and being overweight. He worked for the Department of Education under the Haryana government. Everything was going well until he had a critical health issue at 44. After the death of his son, Dinesh lost interest in life and did not want to get out of bed and meet people.

Subsequently, he gained weight and ate himself to death. When he tried to move his body, he failed and needed someone to support him. His sister and brother-in-law always had his back and encouraged him. With the help of his dietician and physiotherapist, he gradually lost 50kgs and stood up again. Furthermore, he joined a gym and focused on a healthy lifestyle.

Dinesh was 130 kgs then and 81 kgs now. He is a perfect motivation for what one can achieve if he/she has willpower and determination.

Furthermore, Dinesh stepped in for photo shoots. The modelling industry was in a need of the same age as Mohan. At first, he was too hesitant to start his career in the model industry, But his sister, always cheered him up to achieve his dreams. He then continued to work for photo shoots and never looked back. He constantly worked on more modelling projects. With increasing work, he found his enthusiasm growing. And after modelling, he kickstarted his career in acting.

His style impressed everyone in the crowd. He also starred in Salman Khan’s movie Bharat. Modelling and acting enlightened Mohan’s life. One day he bumped into his neighbour’s house and the neighbour couldn’t recognize him. He has over 305k followers on Instagram and his posts are always jaw-dropping.

The walk from bed to the ramp was not easy. There was a mix of struggles, obstacles, hard work and passion which made him a role model for “Age is just a number.” It’s never too late to start something new.
