Abhinav’s creative mind and artistic hands
Abhinav’s journey took an unconventional turn when he couldn’t pursue a master’s degree from Europe. Taking high risks, he embarked on a path less traveled, determined to breathe life into discarded furniture and elevate the aesthetics of everyday spaces. Rejecting the conventional route was a bold move, but it laid the foundation for Abhinav’s extraordinary career.

Abhinav’s contribution to the society
Abhinav Yadav, a self-proclaimed “plant parent,” discovered a unique way to channel his passion during the lockdown. “I didn’t have much to do, and I’ve always loved taking care of plants,” he shared. So, he decided to showcase his plant adventures on Instagram.
As the festive season approached, Abhinav found an opportunity to collaborate with local women artisans. Together, they created beautiful macrame, hoops, and mandalas. The team expanded their creations to include bamboo baskets, cane planters, and jute mats, all of which were featured and sold on Abhinav’s Instagram page. Surprisingly, even during the off-season, orders kept pouring in, along with requests for a physical store.
In August 2021, Abhinav took a bold step by borrowing Rs 5 lakh from his parents to open a store in Varanasi. However, the real challenge was convincing village women, whose families were hesitant about them working, to join him. Despite these hurdles, Abhinav’s determination prevailed.
Today, he supports 50 artisans in earning a decent income from their skills. The products, ranging from bamboo to terracotta and recycled cloth-based items, are not only sold in their physical store but are also available online on platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, and Instagram. Their monthly revenue has reached an impressive Rs 2 lakh.
Abhinav’s entrepreneurial journey didn’t stop there. He started with bamboo products and expanded to include terracotta, jute, and recycled cloth-based items. Now, he has ambitious plans to grow his customer base and diversify his product inventory even further.
Abhinav Yadav’s story is a testament to how a simple passion, combined with creativity and collaboration, can transform not only an individual’s life but also the lives of many others in the community.
