How Dhruv Advani Family Shaped His Path to Success in Medicine
Hailing from Bengaluru, Dhruv Advani’s journey to the top was fueled by the guidance and motivation he received from his family, which boasts a lineage of doctors. His grandfather, aunt, and parents instilled in him a sense of duty towards the medical profession. Interestingly, both of his parents hold PhDs from the prestigious IIM Bangalore.
Despite the academic achievements in his family, they never imposed pressure on Dhruv. Instead, they created a supportive environment that allowed him to express any challenges he faced during his studies.
In the classroom, Dhruv proved to be an attentive learner, always keen to clarify his doubts immediately. This approach helped him avoid any backlog of learning, even during the last-minute preparations. His passion for biology blossomed from an early age, and now he aspires to join the renowned AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) in Delhi.
According to him, studying the NCERT textbooks diligently is crucial for acing the NEET exam. Additionally, solving mock questions, gaining conceptual clarity on key topics, and practicing test series questions played pivotal roles in his success.
What sets Dhruv apart from many is his flexible study schedule. He never adhered to rigid routines, allowing him to balance his studies effectively. While he occasionally took breaks from the books, he ensured intense preparation in the days leading up to the exams, putting in 4 to 5 hours daily.
Instead of getting overwhelmed by the vast syllabus, Dhruv tactically approached his studies, focusing on one subject or test at a time. He admitted that he refrained from opening the Class 12 NCERT textbook until they covered those specific chapters in class. This approach helped him avoid unnecessary pressure and anxiety.

The National Testing Agency reported that out of 1,31,318 students from Karnataka who applied for NEET, 75,248 students are qualified to participate in the counselling process.
